TO PROMOTE MIND-BODY-SPIRIT CONNECTION

Trauma Informed Yoga
I am a certified 200-hour Yoga teacher and a 300-hour certified Trauma-Sensitive Yoga teacher with over 20 years of personal yoga practice. I integrate it into my therapeutic work as Yoga is a powerful tool for self-knowledge, for managing one's emotions, it helps to alleviate stress and opens all the body's systems, physical, emotional, spiritual, etc.
Neuropsychology and Anatomy of the body has helped me build a strong foundation on the human body structure and functionality to better assist you in your healing process.
Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an empirically validated, clinical treatment for chronic or complex trauma, treatment-resistant PTSD. Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and intuitive movement.
Traditional psychotherapy addresses the cognitive and emotional elements of trauma but lacks techniques that work directly with the physiological elements, despite the fact that trauma profoundly affects the body and that so many symptoms of traumatized individuals are somatically driven. All of these clinical issues are inaccessible or difficult to treat in a talking therapy context without a way to include the bodily symptoms in treatment.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and intuitive movement presents simple, body-oriented interventions for tracking, naming, and safely exploring trauma-related, somatic activation, creating new competencies and restoring a somatic sense of self. This approach utilizes effective, accessible interventions for identifying and working with disruptive somatic patterns, disturbed cognitive and emotional processing, and the fragmented sense of self experienced by so many traumatized individuals. It is a phase oriented treatment approach, focusing first on stabilization and symptom reduction towards holistic healing.
Reclaim the care and compassion you give so freely to others!
